2018 Rokiem Zbigniewa Herberta - uchwała Sejmu

Przez aklamację posłowie podjęli w piątek uchwałę w sprawie ustanowienia 2018 Rokiem Zbigniewa Herberta – jednego z najwybitniejszych polskich poetów XX wieku, eseisty i dramaturga.

"28 lipca 2018 r. minie 20 lat od śmierci Zbigniewa Herberta, jednego z najwybitniejszych poetów polskich i europejskich XX wieku. Z tej okazji Sejm Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej w uznaniu ogromnych zasług artysty postanawia oddać mu hołd" – brzmią słowa uchwały.

W dokumencie posłowie napisali, że Zbigniew Herbert, w epoce kryzysu wartości i głębokiego zwątpienia, zawsze stał po stronie zasad jasno odróżniających pojęcie dobra i zła. "Był uosobieniem wierności – samemu sobie i słowu".

The Sejm proclaims 2018 the year of Zbigniew Herbert

On Friday MPs, by acclamation, adopted the act on proclaiming 2018 the year of Zbigniew Herbert – one of the most eminent Polish poets of the 20^th century, essayist and playwright.

 “28 July 2018 will mark the 20^th anniversary of the death of Zbigniew Herbert, one of the greatest Polish and European poets of the 20^th century. To mark this occasion, in recognition of the tremendous service rendered by the artist, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland hereby decides to pay him homage,” reads the Act.

In the document, the deputies further wrote that at a time marked by the crisis of values and deep despair, Zbigniew Herbert always stood by the principles that clearly separated good from evil. “He epitomised faithfulness – to himself and to the word.”
