Within its remit, the Administration and Internal Affairs Committee deals with State administration, as well as security and public order affairs, including: developing the model of Polish civil service and public administration management, implementing the new Act on General Registry and the Act on Identity Cards, Polish citizenship affairs, protection of classified information, religious denominations, spatial information infrastructure, adjusting legislation on foreigners and their protection to the European Union legislation, functioning of the Police, preparing State structures for combating terrorism under the Act on Crisis Management, traffic security, private investigator services, activities of the Border Guard, functioning of the State eastern border, activities of the Fire Service, and mass event security, in particular during the UEFA EURO 2012 European Football Championship.
