Within its remit, the Education, Science and Youth Committee deals with education and schooling in kindergartens, primary schools, lower and upper secondary schools, vocational schools, post-secondary schools, universities and continuing education facilities; quality of education; schooling, training and in-service training of teachers and academics; equalising educational opportunities and financial support for students; scientific and technical research policy, research organisation and financing, practical application of research results; academic corporations and associations, international scientific cooperation; inventions and rationalisation, standardisation, metrology; recreation, physical culture and sport of children and youth, children and youth care, fostering aspirations of the young generation as well as social and professional adaptation of youth.
