Within its remit, the Public Finance Committee deals with the monetary, credit and tax system matters, including income taxes and indirect taxes (VAT and excise); with payroll and revenues issues, State budget and financial plans, special purpose funds, agencies and foundations partially owned by the State Treasury, with the issues related to adopting the State budget and supervising its execution, functioning of the financial market, including the protection of bank deposits, investment funds, trade in financial instruments property insurance, as well as duties, tax investigation and statistics.
