Within its remit, the Physical Education, Sport and Tourism Committee deals with physical education, sport and tourism, including: development of physical education of children and youth, system of disability sport financing, development of modern sports centres and sports facilities in rural areas and small towns, supervision of the national teams' preparedness for Olympic Games and championships, development of scientific background and facilities for professional sport, combating doping and other pathological phenomena in sports, functioning of sports centres, improving professional qualifications of coaches and instructors, as well as matters relating to tourism, including protection of the Polish sector of tourist services.
