Within its remit, the State Control Committee deals with matters concerning the functioning of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) and the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP), particularly by issuing opinions on work plans of the Supreme Audit Office and on annual activity reports of the Supreme Audit Office and the National Labour Inspectorate, their budgets and budget execution reports, issuing opinions on draft Statutes of the Supreme Audit Office and the National Labour Inspectorate, issuing opinions on other decisions of Sejm bodies as well as on motions and documents arising from the Act on the Supreme Audit Office, motioning to the Sejm for immediate provision of information on the results of audits conducted by the Supreme Audit Office, conducting periodic assessments of activity of the Supreme Audit Office and the National Labour Inspectorate, including analyses of audits and implementation of follow-up statements, submitting them to the Marshal of the Sejm, as well as matters relating to the functioning of the regional accounting chambers.
