Within its remit, the Environment Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry Committee deals with sustainable development issues, including: nature conservation, environmental protection and management, climate, water and waste-water management, meteorology, hydrology, geology and protection of non-renewable resources, waste management, forestry and forest management, hunting, as well as control of compliance with the requirements of environment protection and environmental monitoring; the Committee also deals with inland waterways issues.
