Within its remit, the Rules and Deputies' Affairs Committee deals with the issues related to the Sejm granting consent for holding a Deputy liable for crimes or offences, or for his/her arrest or detention; with the issues related to the conditions in which Deputies exercise their mandate and of mandate expiry, the functioning of the Deputies' offices, interpretation and application of the Standing Orders of the Sejm, as well as with the issues related to analysing the complaints and motions submitted to the Sejm and its bodies, examining the charges of failure to perform their duties by Deputies, and with ongoing supervision of the work of the Chancellery of the Sejm.
